Growing up in one of Lagos state’s poor communities, Wale worked his way up from the roots of poverty. His calculative strides and fluidity helped him to make the best of every situation, and eventually, enable him to reach for the stars and take a hold of the American dream. Wale believes that a man’s background should not hold him back in life.
America Belongs To Us Too is a deeply inspiring story of the resilience and resolve of a man, whose passion for service to humanity propels him on his journey to fulfil his quest to establish the unification of all races in a post-Trump era. During his time at the US Army, Wale founded Towards A More Perfect Union also known as TAMPU Foundation; a civil organization dedicated to fostering & promoting UNITY among the diverse races, nationalities and ethnicities in today’s divided America.

About The Author
Wale Salami
Wale Salami is an American Angel Investor, Venture Capitalist, U.S. Army Veteran, and a Tech Professional with over 10 years’ experience working in military, non-profit, and private-sector roles in world-class organizations.
Salami served with the Air Defense Artillery Brigade of the United States Army, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, as a Maintenance Engineer. He was on a tour of duty to the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Currently, he serves as an Enterprise Account Manager with one of the big 4 tech companies in the world, and is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Midlothian Angel Network (Midlo Angels).
He sits on the boards of Utiva, #MushinToTheWorld Foundation, the Rising Leadership Foundation (Texas), and The Green Investment Club (TGIC).
He holds a certificate in Private Equity & Venture Capital from Universitä Bocconi, an Executive MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington, and a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, from the Lagos State University.
He is a member of the HBS Alumni Angels Association (HBSAAA), the Stanford Angels Club, and is also a Chartered Member of the Angel Capital Association (ACA); a network of over 14,000+ active, professional angels.
